How to teach your dog "Yawn"

Cue word: "Yawn" · Hand signal: 🥱 Cover your mouth · Learn first: none

  1. Click the moment it yawns (capturing)
  2. Repeat and attach the cue "Yawn"
  3. Reward when it yawns on cue
  4. Space out the rewards

Common mistake

Patience is everything — only a few times a day.

Caution

Keep sessions under 5 minutes. Stop if your dog is tired or uninterested and try again later. Even shorter for puppies and seniors.
